A graduated Squibb dropping (separatory) funnel of 500 mL in borosilicate 3.3 glass with a glass key stopcock and an interchangeable plastic stopper in a 24/29 socket. White graduations run every 50 mL and are numbered every 100 mL. It stands 14 inches tall including the stem, 4 inches across, and the 2.25-inch stem has a 6 mm bore and 9 mm outer diameter. The clear glass shows the contents, and the stopcock lets liquids, including reagents, be added slowly drop by drop. It is autoclavable, highly durable chemically and withstands high temperatures and thermal shock; the glass has a strain point of 515 °C, an annealing point of 565 °C and a softening point of 820 °C. Built for professional labs, it also suits classrooms and the home.
