Wireless Sound Sensor
A wireless sound sensor that starts recording when triggered by sound, making waveforms easy to capture and study. It measures wave amplitude and sound intensity level together for investigating the decibel scale, and it can be taken outdoors to record natural sounds. It works with compatible graphing and analysis software that offers live data sharing for demonstrations, bar graphs, histograms, FFTs and categorical plots, synchronised video replay, a library of more than 45 ready-made sample experiments and user-defined curve fits, suiting both classroom and remote learning. A long-life rechargeable battery keeps it ready for wireless use, its charge can be checked in the app, and it connects through a USB cable or wirelessly with nothing else to buy. Specifications: A- or C-weighted response; range 55–110 dB; accuracy ±3 dB; resolution 0.1 dB; sound level frequency range 30–10,000 Hz; microphone frequency range 100 Hz to 15 kHz; typical maximum frequency 10,000 Hz.
