Wireless Light & Color Sensor
A wireless light and colour sensor that measures light intensity in the visible and UV parts of the spectrum. Its RGB sensor finds the relative amounts of red, green and blue light, and a built-in white LED lights a surface evenly from directly above, reducing the effect of changing room light. Its UV channel picks up UVA and UVB well, suiting experiments with sunlight and UV lamps. It works with compatible graphing and analysis software that offers live data sharing for demonstrations, bar graphs, histograms, FFTs and categorical plots, synchronised video replay, a library of more than 45 ready-made sample experiments and user-defined curve fits, suiting both classroom and remote learning. A long-life rechargeable battery keeps it ready for wireless use, its charge can be checked in the app, and it connects through a USB cable or wirelessly with nothing else to buy. Specifications: wavelengths 400–800 nm; maximum sampling rate 1,000 samples/s; responds to UVA and UVB; peak response 615 nm (red), 525 nm (green) and 465 nm (blue). Included: micro USB cable.
