Wireless Respiration Belt Sensor
A wireless respiration belt that measures breathing patterns quickly. A force sensor fixed to an adjustable nylon chest strap measures how hard and how often the subject breathes, and an LED indicator helps set the right belt tension. The analysis app displays the breathing rate, making comparisons between subjects or experiments easy. It works with compatible graphing and analysis software that offers live data sharing for demonstrations, bar graphs, histograms, FFTs and categorical plots, synchronised video replay, a library of more than 45 ready-made sample experiments and user-defined curve fits, suiting both classroom and remote learning. A long-life rechargeable battery keeps it ready for wireless use, its charge can be checked in the app, and it connects through a USB cable or wirelessly with nothing else to buy. Specifications: range 0–50 N; resolution 0.01 N; response time 50 ms; respiration rate calculated over a 30 s window advancing every 10 s; maximum chest circumference 140 cm.
