An introductory kit simulating Mendelian genetics for 15 student groups. Using chips and double dice, students model monohybrid and dihybrid crosses, work out genotypic and phenotypic ratios for selected traits and compare them with Mendel's predicted values. Contents: 15 female monohybrid chips (red/yellow), 15 male monohybrid chips (red/white), 15 coloured female dihybrid double dice, 15 clear male dihybrid double dice, 15 plastic shaker cups, a teacher's manual and student study guide copymasters. It develops cause and effect, data analysis, constructing explanations and arguing from evidence. Suitable for ages 13 and up with adult supervision; not regulated for shipping.
