Ultrasonic Receiver
An ultrasonic receiver, the same size as the matching transmitter and using the same type of transducer, here working as a detector. Its output feeds a d.c. amplifier circuit, and a pair of 4 mm sockets connect a 1 mA meter for quantitative measurements. Its gain control sets the output so the meter reads full scale at maximum signal. Needs a 9 V PP9 battery, not supplied.
