An ungraduated 500 mL separatory funnel in clear polypropylene for separating two immiscible liquids such as oil and water or for washing compounds with solvents to remove impurities. It is about 13 inches tall, 4 inches across at its widest and has a neck about 1 inch wide. The plastic is strong, withstands up to 135 °C, resists strong acids, bases and alcohols and is safe in the autoclave, microwave and dishwasher. A polypropylene key stopcock fitted onto the stem with a PTFE plug that lubricates itself gives precise flow control, and a leak-proof screw cap protects the contents.
